Funds donated to the, “Transkids Purple Rainbow Foundation” have been used to host an annual pool party for the kids. Since many transgender children hate the bodies they were born in, they are very uncomfortable around pools or beaches. They often sit on the sidelines covered up while the other kids have fun. However, at the Transhealth Conference these kids realize they are not alone, and feel safe and secure enough to have fun at the pool party. One teen in
particular was found silently crying. In the past, he didn’t have the courage to swim since he was little. He was overjoyed with happiness, and was so grateful for the opportunity to meet other transkids, and finally put on a bathing suit and enjoy the party. Lots of laughter can be heard at this annual party where kids gain confidence, parents share stories, and everyone enjoys the food, drinks and venue courtesy of your donations.
